A: Almost all of our clients start out nervous. It’s completely normal. Don’t worry, you’ll be in great hands. I'm here to guide you through this entire experience from what to wear, to hair and makeup, and how to do all of those crazy poses. I’ll also walk you through your facial expressions and show you some of the images on the back of the camera as we go along. That way you’ll be able to see that all the crazy stuff we’re doing is working! Heck, I'll even demonstrate the poses for you myself! This seems to make clients feel much more comfort.

Q: I want to book but, I am nervous. Is this normal?

Frequently asked boudoir questions

A:  First of all, THANK YOU! I take that as a compliment of the highest degree because these women are not models. These women, just like you, at one point looked at the photos on my website and thought "Hmm..I know mine won't turn out THAT good since I don't look like a model, but I'm wondering how good she can make me look?" The answer is: Yes, I can and I WILL make you look and FEEL like a model. I know women so well, that I know exactly what they will not like in photos. I know exactly how to pose all types of women to look their very very best. I know my camera equipment and use it to create beautiful and ultra flattering images of ANY WOMAN. You don't have to know what you are doing in the slightest. I will direct you every step of the way, from helping to you prepare for your photo shoot with wardrobe tips, to posing every inch of you, to coaching your breathing through the session. You just need to show up and TRUST ME..

Q: THE WOMAN ON YOUR WEBSITE LOOK LIKE MODELS. I AM NOT A MODEL. CAN I DO THIS?

A: Complimentary hair, makeup, and lashes are included in all of our boudoir experiences! It’s important for you to feel pampered from the moment you arrive for your shoot. Our amazing transformation team can help you complete your look, whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or full glam! You can bring in ideas or inspiration pictures for your makeup and we can try to match that look!

Our transformation team creates camera-ready looks that range from girl-next-door natural to va-va-voom glam, and everything in between. We hand-pick makeup artists who can work with all skin types, ages and hair types. You will be working with some of the best in the local industry! Be prepared to be pampered, have your self-esteem boosted, and leave the studio feeling transformed inside and out!

We will ask that you arrive to the Studio with a clean, moisturized face and clean, dry hair so that we can get right to work. Let the transformation begin!

Q: Is hair and makeup included?

A: The photo shoot experience starts with a session retainer at $400. That retainer includes the photo shoot, hair and makeup application, professional posing and facial coaching, the retouching of your images, a photo viewing session for you to order digitals and photo products from our collections and a la carte menu. At your photo reveal session, you will have the opportunity to purchase your favorite images. Clients are almost always SHOCKED by how many photos they cannot live without from their session. They think they are going to be the one client that just doesn't get good photos...and they're always proved wrong (but with a smile!). Yep, we're *THAT* good here!  The session retainer is non-refundable and guarantees your date. a la carte items being at $225 and collections begin at $1800. We offer all clients interest free, flexible payment plans to make any experience “budget friendly.” YOU get to decide how much you want to put towards your products each month. This way when you come in for your photoshoot, it's all taken care of!

Q: What do your packages include? How much should I expect to spend?

A: Whatever you feel beautiful in. My signature style is the "effortless cool girl" look, which, lucky for you, involves things you likely already have in your closet. A bodysuit, an oversized sweater, cropped sweatshirt and high waist panties, a robe, sleep shirt, etc. Some clients opt for lingerie. And many clients choose to do a nude set during their session. In a 1.5 hour photo session, you will typically have time for up to 3 “looks” or outfits (yes, "nude" counts as an outfit)! Don't stress to much about wardrobe. I could (and have!) spend an entire hour shooting a client with no other wardrobe than the bed sheets and completely rock it out. Once you've completed the booking process with me, you will also receive a detailed shoot guide that will help you with preparations and wardrobe considerations

Q: What should I wear?

A: What you see on my website and on my social media feeds is a very accurate representation of what I offer in the "saucy" department. I will shoot an array of clothed, partially clothed, tasteful nudes, exposed breasts and bums but no pelvic area will be visible in any of my work and that is a firm policy.  If you love what you see on the website, I'm your girl.

Q: The photos on your website are tasteful and pretty. What if I want something a little more risque?

A: Sometimes your best friend is exactly what you need to calm your nerves and give you the reassurance you need to get started with your session! I don’t mind at all if there is one friend with you! I DO ask that the friend not interfere with the shoot (running in to “touch you up” in between every shot, directing your posing, etc) as I will handle anything along those lines that needs done. I do not allow any more than 1 friend in the room with you. Also, it is a requirement of mine that boyfriends/husbands/spouses NOT be in the room while we are shooting. That’s a firm policy. Want to do one better than having a friend there for moral support??? Why don't you book your shoots back to back so you can both enjoy the experience together?! Availability, pending, of course

Q: Can I bring someone with me to my session?

A: I stick to my gut on this one. While I make the skin look it's best, I keep the "Photoshop" action minimal. I rely on my strategic poses and angles to play down "problem" areas that concern you. We WILL edit out minor blemishes/skin flaws as well as simple things like under-eye circles and small scars (IF you request the scar-removal). My main rule of thumb is, if it’s permanent, it stays unless requested otherwise.

Q: How much can you "edit out"?

A: Absolutely! I would love to chat with you about the boudoir experience. Feel free to send me an email or schedule a consultation call with me.

Q: I want to book a session, but I have more questions. Can we talk on the phone?

A: I am only able to take on a certain number births in order to make sure I am able to be present at all of them. It's a good idea to book as soon as possible. At least a few months in advance.

Q: 3. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?

Frequently asked labor & delivery questions

A:Your preferences determine what I do with your photos. This includes how you want me to photograph the actual delivery.
Your birth photography contract includes a model release form, giving you the chance to let us know what we can and can't share with regard to your birth photos. While we do ask that you consider allowing us to post some images, photos you want to keep private will NEVER be posted anywhere or shared with anyone without your express consent. Your modesty and privacy will be preserved at all times. This topic will be part of our discussion when we sit down in person before the big day.

Q: I am not sure sharing all of my birth photos. Will you be posting them online?

A: Absolutely! Putting you on my calendar means that I am committed. As your due date draws near I check in regularly. I keep a bag packed with the equipment I need, ready to go. Barring an act of God, I will be there as soon as I get that call from you. That said, circumstances beyond my control may arise.
Emergency situations, extreme weather, an unexpected change of location, heavy traffic/unexpected road delays, or very rapid labor are some examples of things that can cause me to arrive too late for all the action. Since this would be such a rare occurrence, it will be handled on a case-by-case basis, should the need arise.

Q: What if the baby comes in the middle of the night, or on a holiday? Will you still be available?

A: Labor is one of those things that you just can't really control or predict. Even with a planned Cesarean dates change, labor can start before the scheduled day, and emergencies can bump the time as they have priority. With any birth it could be many hours, or just a few from start to finish. You shouldn't be worried about how long your labor may last; I'm not! The only charges on top of the birth package you select would be for additional products or services, or upgrades to the products and services that are included.

Q: What happens if my labor lasts longer than expected? Do you charge for the extra time?

A: Without a doubt! Every birth is special, and that is true of planned Cesareans as well. Regardless of how your baby enters the world, there is no reason not to preserve the moment your eyes meet for the first time. There will still be a first cry, that first look of wonder in your partner's eyes, that emotion that wells up inside you all of a sudden, as that warm little body snuggles into the safety of your arms for the first time, and you realize that now you are somebody's whole world. And don't forget, there will still be lots of friends and family grinning from ear to ear! All of those things are definitely worthy of preservation. There are also a number of hospitals that do allow photography in the OR, so it's possible to still get those very first moments even with a planned Cesarean.

Q: Is there enough of a "labor" to document a planned Cesarean birth?

Dustine is an amazing person with a wonderful talent. We love love love how our maternity pictures turned out and can’t wait to work with her again.

You captured the perfect moments during labor and the birth of our daughter, your eye for that is incredible! Thank you for giving us these photos and such a sweet video that our little family will treasure forever.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am obsessed with my boudoir photos. The shoot was so much fun I can't wait to do it again!
